PHOTONICS CONGRESS CHINA议题丰富，主题包括激光加工、先进激光器、光学技术、再生能源等最新研发成果和进展，全面覆盖多个激光和光电子领域。大会和慕尼黑上海光博会一起将科学、研发和产业应用紧密结合，赋予科研生产更多独特的实用价值。2012年光学技术大会共吸引了1,266名听众蜂拥到场与会聆听。

第八届国际应用激光技术中国研讨会

激光作为一种先进的技术，正应用于各行各业。中国激光市场蕴含着巨大的潜力，激光应用市场不断扩大，激光加工领域不断开拓，除了纺织、服装等轻工业和汽车制造业、航空、动力和能源等重工业，正逐步向精细、微细加工集中，向电子制造业、集成电路行业、通信、机械微加工，以及医疗、牙科、美容仪器设备制造业等新兴应用领域拓展。为促进中国激光技术的不断创新，推进激光应用市场的快速发展，第八届国际应用激光技术中国研讨会将于慕尼黑上海光博会期间再度隆重举办，旨在为加强激光产业的产学研合作搭建一个国际的交流平台。
国际应用激光技术中国研讨会作为“光学技术大会 (PHOTONICS CONGRESS CHINA)”的一部分，每年与慕尼黑上海光博会（LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA）同期举办。
